Coaching
It is vitally important to us that you understand that we know exactly where you are coming from. We have been there. We have had absolutely no confidence in ourselves at all and have learned how to turn that around. That is why we are so passionate about helping you to be more confident.
We are passionate about coaching and we are on a mission to inspire everyone to find and live their passions - to be their authentic, true self. Our job is to be responsive, flexible and enabling, to draw out the star in you. In particular, we are skilled in building self-esteem and confidence, enabling you to develop to your full potential. To do all this requires a holistic, lively approach to personal and professional development, from the delivery of the training and coaching through to on-going support. And we are interested in your results - no ifs, no buts.
Expect to be challenged, to re-learn old things in new ways but, most of all, expect to change your life.
We have many years of experience working with a range of people from 10 year olds to senior citizens, both male and female, nationally and internationally. This is complemented with over 20 years of experience in both private and public sector organisations and small businesses.
NLP qualifications from INLPTA enables us to communicate effectively with all our clients so they can bring about their personal change.
In addition our lead coach Maggie Currie, The People Magician, has worked with Dawn Breslin, GMTV coach and international confidence coach, and Susan Jeffers, author of 'Feel the fear and do it anyway', to enhance her expertise so people who want to improve their self-esteem and build their confidence can feel confident that we will deliver.
This expertise is not available anywhere else on the Isle of Wight. Maggie Currie is the only licensed Dawn Breslin and Susan Jeffers consultancy on the Island.
Training
We provide training in several formats to suit individual clients. Our workshops are lively and interactive. They are designed to meet the needs of all our participants and we will work with you to develop the tools necessary for running your business. In addition, all our workshops are supported by a follow up business coaching/mentoring session, where the focus is on results and moving you forward.
Workshops are designed for specific clients and tailored to their needs and wishes. We find the optimum number of delegates to be no more than twelve.
We have developed our understanding of people and business through extensive management experience at all levels from careers spent in a variety of large Public sector, Private sector and Charity organisations. So we have a lot to give in helping people discover the best ways to approach their work, whatever their role. Sometimes this means we work with individuals, and sometimes with whole organisations.
Our lead trainer's Kelvin Currie, Public Speaking Guru, passion is presenting and motivational speaking, and he loves teaching these skills to others. Kelvin has given many presentations to audiences from the boards of multi-national corporations, both nationally and internationally, to Women's Institutes, and sharing the platform with Government Ministers, Royalty and numerous famous figures.
Training, coaching and mentoring are only as effective as the your willingness to learn and implement. If nothing is implemented, then no changes are made. That is why we follow up each training module with a half-day coaching/mentoring session to assess progress.
Our coaching programmes again are tailored to individual clients but generally include, but are not limited to:
- Taking stock of the individual’s current situation and clarifying exactly where they are now.
- Identifying realistic options
- Acknowledging potential stumbling blocks and how to overcome them
- Raising and discussing anxieties and fears (real or perceived)
- Feeling positive about taking up the challenge
- Prioritising short-, medium- and long-term goals and strategies
- Creating and executing a plan of action to move forward.
For Middle Managers we usually recommend 6 hours of coaching spread over a six-month period. This would result in an individual one-hour coaching session twice a month for each middle manager.
